My research interest is in all computational aspects of audiovisual signal processing and analysis of sensory data including the software implementation of efficient algorithms on embedded platforms. More recently, I am involved in the interdisciplinary excellence cluster entitled “Cognition for Technical Systems “(CoTeSys) where I work on computational aspects in machine learning and control using audio-visual data in cognitive robots. For the summer 2010 iCore supported my stay at the Dept. of Computing Sciences, UoA in Edmonton as a Visiting Professor.

Research Interests

Multimedia Signal Processing, Quality of Experience for Multimedia Data and Services, Time-Varying System Theory for High Performance Computing, Machine Learning, Multivariate Data Analysis, Affective/Moral Computing
